Arden Shakespeare are the best.
The book is great.I read it at the library
I love the notes in the Arden edition. I ordered it because I was directing a high school production of R and J. We had other resources, but always went to this one first and it usually did the trick. Questions abound when working on this wonderful play and it is such a pleasure to get thorough answers at the flick of the page.
The footnotes and the essays are solid. While one would like more perhaps, they are solid. The Arden Third Series adds greatly to the understanding of the plays. Other editions may seem friendlier, but they are much less helpful.
Excellent and illuminating notes. I have a number of editions of this play and this Arden is one of the best.
Every time I read this book, it's the same ending.
"Romeo and Juliet" (Kindle version, Bloomsbury, 2013) viewed on a Lenovo Thinkpad/Win10. At various points in the text font size seems to vary from readable to unreadable back to readable. Did anyone proofread? Unacceptable. Returned.
